Question from 2014, Answered in 2016
Hey Readers, I am sorry I haven't been able to update you on my newest books reviews, I have actually be reading a lot of books lately but I just feel somehow lazy to write my reviews on those books, however I am thinking of starting a podcast channels so as to keep you all hook-up on my book reviews updates. Well, today I will like to share a more or less conventional topic and I will prefer to call it 2014 and 2016, why this heading? What happened is it with 2014 and 2016_ keeping reading to get the full gist.
Between the year 2014 and 2016 was the period where I experienced most of my growth process from my views on religion, relationship, self reflection and growth to career to finance and others, beautiful thing is I still learning because I am a slow learner.
It's was a friday afternoon, alone with my friend in our royal cubicle in Ojuelegba. We both had just returned from an exhausting day at school and needed to rest to rejuvenate our energy. we both move outside of the room to sit in the balcony of our residence, sucking in as much oxygen our lungs could contain, my good friend broke the silence between us with a question "What would your life become if the most tragic incident happened to you"; lemme put it in a more comprehensive way he said "If you lose all major motor functions of your body and the only part of your body you could move is just your head and neck or if you go blind any moment from now due to accident that happened what would your life become. Would you still live your as best as you could or you did sit on a wheel chair in a confide room, weep your life out, fall into depression, request for a death wish and blame God for letting this unfortunate happen to you or better still, would you get depressed for a year or two or couple of months, weeks , pick your self up and take what's left of you and create something good out of it for yourself and your lovies. I understood the question my friend just asked but I didn't have an answer to his question...
Life can be funny sometimes we may get deal with the good cards sometimes and also the very bad cards sometimes. However, whether bad or good cards what matters most is how we play it the cards we are dealt with by life. Well, I have seen people with so many opportunities, supportive caring rich parents, good/quality education and all the goodies of life still complain how life was unfair to them when dealt with a single bad card, tho' some with this good cards leverage on it to the maximum level. I also have friends with no support who do minor jobs after school hours to get feeding money for the week, disabled learn a craft or go to school and create a simple good life for themselves and also others who use their bad cards as opportunity for different from of gymnastics excuses.
The question still remains if you go blind, crippled or gifted I chose to say, with any form of disability today would you still become a doctor (Surgeon), a lawyer, an accountant, chef, hairdresser or whatever you what to become, would you still go for...
I gave my friend the right answer 3years after; My response "Yes, I still become a Doctor only that I will be lecturing doctors in a medical school on Medical Psychology and that is enough for me.
Conclusively, the question looks rather simple to other but it ain't as simple as you thought, because it's until you're faced with that kind of river you did see the currents you have to swim pass. Life is fickle, fragile, expect the very best and be prepared for the very worst, with this thought to yourself_you did see that the very liittle things that matter in life, the blessings you ignore to appreciate, like breath, falling in love, being able to cook your own food and all that.
I am still have a big space in my heart because heaven don't have visiting hours if not I did visit my friend always...
Thank you for reading my blogspot, hope I didn't bore you, most importantly hope you reflect on your life and see the little good things that are actually too big to notice.
